The LIT Search consortium will convene for its launch conference at KU Leuven in Antwerp on 6 and 7 May 2014, where the 15 co-beneficiaries*  and 3 associate partners will be informed about administrative issues of the LIT Search project. At this conference, they will also discuss the modus operandi to be followed by the different consortium partners in order to reach the project objective within the 2-year time frame.

The “LIT Search” consortium recently received information from the EU Commission that the proposal for the “LIT Search” project has been accepted and will receive EU funding. The “LIT Search” project will be a pilot project to explore the modalities and practical features of a European database of legal interpreters and translators and eventually link up the countries participating in the pilot project (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom; France, Slovenia).
